Zoom Webinar License

What Is It?

A Zoom webinar License grants user access to a product of Zoom to host large events with limited participant activities. Zoom webinars are for events with more than 300 participants attending and 500 participants max.

  • An example would be that participants are not allowed to turn on their cameras or microphone (microphone could be turned on with host permission)
Webinar licenses are limited and therefore granted on a case-by-case basis. Less than 300 attendees? Check out our Zoom Meeting vs Webinar knowledge base article for more details!

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

UTHSC faculty, staff, or students who have been granted permission to obtain a webinar license.

Where Can I Get It?

Click the Request Service button and the Instructional Technology Team will be happy to meet with you to discuss your options.

How Do I Use It?

Once a user has obtained a webinar license, they can create a webinar by going to zoom.us and log into their UTHSC account. Logging in to your UTHSC account via zoom.us is similar to how you would log in to the Zoom application.

  • Once logged in, you may be on your ‘Profile’ page. Look in the left-hand column and locate and click on the Webinars section.
  • On this page, you will see a Schedule a Webinar button on the right side of your screen.
