Supported Microsoft Windows and Apple Operating System Versions

UT Health Science Center owned computing devices that cannot update to a supported operating system must be blocked from the UTHSC wired and wireless networks.

Supported macOS versions include:

  • macOS 26 Tahoe
  • macOS 15 Sequoia
  • macOS 14 Sonoma

Supported Windows versions include:

  • Windows 11

Supported iPadOS and iOS versions include:

  • iPadOS & iOS 26
  • iPadOS & iOS 18

Android devices cannot be managed by UTHSC currently.

Blocked devices will still be able to connect to the Eduroam WiFi network. Devices connected to Eduroam cannot print to UT Network Printers.

Obsolete devices should be replaced in the interests of security, support, and productivity. Please use the Surplus Computing Equipment Form to properly dispose of your old computer.

If you think you have a valid reason to request an exemption from the University of Tennessee security policy that requires all UT Health Science Center computing devices to use a supported operating system, please submit an exemption request.
