Remove a User from a Chat

To remove someone from a group chat in Teams, do the following:

  1. Open any group chat containing three or more people, click View, and add participants.
    Selecting View and add participants in Teams
  2. Hover on the person's name that you want to remove. Click the X beside their name.
    Hover over name of person to remove
  3. Click the Remove button.
    Dialog box to click Remove button to remove user

An update in the chat will inform everyone that you've removed that person.
