Summary
Submitting a project request in TechConnect allows ITS to review your needs, determine the appropriate scope, identify staff who can assist, and estimate a project start time. This process is required when you need help selecting or implementing a new IT system or software.
Prerequisites
- Access to TechConnect
- Complete a Technology Review before purchasing software or hardware
- Understanding of your department’s goals and desired outcomes
- Any documentation you may need to attach to your request
Instructions
Create a Project Request
- Go to the Project Management service request in TechConnect and select Submit Project Request.
- Answer all required questions and select Save at the top of the page.
- On the next page, select Review and Submit.
If you need to edit the request before marking it complete:
- To edit your answers:
- Select Project Information (location varies depending on screen size).
- Select Mark Incomplete, make your changes, then select Mark Complete.
- To add attachments:
- Select Files.
- Select Add Attachments, choose from your computer or from OneDrive for Business, browse to your file, and select Upload.
- Repeat for multiple attachments.
- Select Mark Complete.
- On the next page, select Mark Complete and Submit, then confirm by selecting Mark Complete and Submit again in the popup window.
IMPORTANT: If you skip this step, your request will not be sent to ITS. It will remain saved for you to submit or withdraw later.
