Create and Manage a Project Request in TDX

Summary

If you need ITS’s help selecting and/or implementing a new IT system or software, you should submit a project request. This will provide us with some general information to help determine the scope of your need, the staff who can assist, and an estimated start time.

If you need ITS’s help selecting and/or implementing a new IT system or software, you should submit a project request. This will provide us with some general information to help determine the scope of your need, the staff who can assist, and an estimated start time.

To Create a Project Request

  1. Go to the Project Management service request in TechConnect and click the Submit Project Request button.
  2. Answer all required questions and click the Save button at the top of the page.
  3. On the next page, click the Review and Submit button.
  4. If you need to edit the request before marking it as complete and submitting:
    • To edit your answers (skip this step if you do not want to make changes):
      • Select Project Information (to the left or above the Mark Complete and Submit button, depending on the size of your web page).
      • Select the Mark Incomplete button, make your changes, and then select the Mark Complete button.
    • If you need to add an attachment(s) (skip this step if you do not have attachments):
      • Click Files (to the left or above the Mark Complete and Submit button, depending on the size of your web page).
      • Click the Add Attachments button, click either from your computer or from OneDrive for Business, browse to find your file, and then click the Upload button. Repeat this step if you have multiple attachments.
      • Select the Mark Complete button.
  5. On the next page, select the Mark Complete and Submit button and in the popup window, select the Mark Complete and Submit button again.
    • IMPORTANT: If you skip this step, your request will not be sent to ITS. Instead, it will just be saved for you to submit or withdraw it at a later time.

To Update, Submit, or Withdraw an Existing Unsubmitted Project Request

NOTE: Changes cannot be made to project requests that have been submitted.

  1. Go to the TechConnect home page.
  2. Select Services in the green banner at the top of the page.
  3. Click the Project Requests button in the line just underneath the green banner.
  4. Click the title of the project request that you want to manage.
    1. To withdraw the request: Select the Withdraw button. NOTE: A withdrawn project can be returned to a “not submitted” state and submitted at a later date.)
    2. To edit the request, follow step 4 above.
    3. To submit the request to ITS, follow step 5 above.
