Summary
This article explains how UTHSC faculty and staff can download and install Adobe Creative Cloud applications using their UT account. It also describes the new user-based licensing model and provides guidance for signing in and out of Creative Cloud on shared or multiple devices.

Sign In to Adobe
- Go to adobe.com.
- Sign in using your UT account in the format NetID@tennessee.edu.
Install the Creative Cloud Desktop App
The Creative Cloud Desktop App must be installed before you can download individual Adobe applications.
Follow the installation instructions provided by Adobe: Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Install Instructions.
Install Adobe Applications
- Open the Creative Cloud Desktop App.
- Select the applications you want to install.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
Sign Out of Creative Cloud
If you use a shared computer, sign out of Creative Cloud when you finish your work.
- Select the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the Creative Cloud Desktop App.
- Choose Sign Out.
You may have two concurrent Creative Cloud sessions. If you reach the limit, sign out of one device to sign in on another.
New License Structure
Adobe now uses a user-based licensing model. Applications installed on a computer will not function unless someone is signed in to the Creative Cloud Desktop App.
If you install Creative Cloud for another user:
- Sign out of the Creative Cloud Desktop App after installation.
- Allow the intended user to sign in with their own UT credentials.
Troubleshooting
- Verify that you are signing in with NetID@tennessee.edu.
- Ensure the Creative Cloud Desktop App is installed before attempting to install individual applications.
- Sign out of unused devices if you receive a message about reaching the session limit.
Additional Notes
- Residents, fellows, and postdocs must request access through the service catalog.
- Creative Cloud licensing is tied to the user, not the device.
