Receiving the Daily Digest or Condolences List

You must be on campus or accessing the VPN to sign up for this listserv. As login to the UTHSC network and VPN access both require an active NetID and password, please join before your NetID and password becomes inactive, which occurs 30 days after your retirement date.

You can sign up to receive the Daily Digest email and/or the Condolences List with a non-UT email.

  1. Visit the Retirees Info Page to sign up. (You may also sign up for the Condolences Info Page with the same steps.). If you cannot access this page, please contact the Service Desk at 901.448.2222 to have them add your non-UT email address.
  2. Enter a non-UT email address. (e.g. example@gmail.com, example@yahoo.com, example@outlook.com, etc.)
  3. Enter your name. This step is optional.
  4. Create a secure password. When creating a password, it is suggested that you use 8 characters or more with a combination of letters, numbers, and/or symbols.
  5. Confirm the secure password you just created.
  6. Click Subscribe to submit your entry.

You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address: Your name (optional): You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Pick a password: Reenter password to confirm: Which language do you prefer to display your messages?   7. After clicking Subscribe you will receive an email from retirees-request@listserv.uthsc.edu in the inbox of the email address you signed up with. You will need to access that account which will include an email with additional instructions to confirm your entry. (Check your SPAM folder if you do not see it in your inbox)
  8. After clicking the link in your inbox, you will see a Confirmation subscription request. Verify the information is correct and click Subscribe to list Retirees.

  9. Once completed, you will see a confirmation window.
