Sign Up for the Daily Digest or Condolences List

This article explains how retirees can sign up for the UTHSC Daily Digest and Condolences List using a personal email address. Retirees must complete enrollment before their NetID and password become inactive.

Prerequisites

  • UTHSC retiree status
  • Access to the UTHSC network or VPN (required to reach the signup pages)
  • A personal, non‑UT email account

Instructions

You may subscribe to the Daily Digest and Condolences List using any personal email address. Enrollment must be completed before your NetID and password deactivate, which occurs 30 days after your retirement date.

  1. Visit the Retirees Listserv Signup Page. You may also subscribe to the Condolences List using the Condolences Signup Page.
  2. Enter your personal email address (for example: example@gmail.com, example@yahoo.com, example@outlook.com).
  3. Enter your name. This step is optional.
  4. Create a secure password. A strong password includes eight or more characters with a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols.
  5. Confirm the password you created.
  6. Select Subscribe to submit your request.
  7. You will receive an email from retirees-request@listserv.uthsc.edu at the personal email address you entered. This message contains instructions for confirming your subscription. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see the message.
  8. Open the confirmation email and follow the instructions to approve your subscription. 
  9. After confirming, you will see a subscription confirmation page. 

If you cannot access the signup pages, contact the Service Desk at 901.448.2222 to request that your personal email address be added manually.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you are on campus or connected to VPN; the signup pages require UTHSC network access.
  • Check your spam folder if you do not receive the confirmation email.
  • Verify that you entered your personal email address correctly.
  • Contact the Service Desk if you cannot access the signup pages or do not receive a confirmation email.

Additional Notes

  • Retirees must subscribe before their NetID and password deactivate.
  • You may unsubscribe from either list at any time using the link provided in listserv emails.
