What Is It?
SPSS Statistics is one of the most widely used statistics packages at UT. It includes a broad range of statistics and graphics. SPSS is easy to learn and use. Data can also be transferred effortlessly into R or SAS to access any esoteric analyses. While most users prefer using the GUI interface of SPSS, more advanced users can take advantage of its programming language to automate repetitive data management tasks, create a program to record data analyses steps, or access options not available in the GUI.
How to Get It
SPSS is available at no additional charge to faculty, staff and students at all UT campuses for installation on university-owned and personally-owned Windows, Macs and Linux computers. The download and installation instructions are available at the OIT Software Download web page.
Training
The LinkedIn Learning online training library offers SPSS training videos to registered members. YouTube also contains thousands of SPSS tutorials in many different languages.
