Summary
The article explains how UTHSC faculty, staff, and students can download, install, and properly sign in to Zoom using the university’s Single Sign-On (SSO) system to ensure they receive a UTHSC‑provisioned pro account.
Prerequisites
- Download Zoom and log in using the SSO option with your UTHSC credentials to access a pro account (host longer meetings, accommodate more attendees, and access additional feature).
Instructions
Setup
- Go to https://tennessee.zoom.us.
- Click the Create or Edit Account button.
- Log in with your UTHSC NetID and Password (Duo authentication may be required).
- An account will be provisioned for you automatically.
Download the App
- Go to https://tennessee.zoom.us.
- Click the Download Zoom link at the bottom.

- Zoom automatically downloads the app for you. Locate the download file, double click, the follow the steps to install.
- Once you have completed the installation process, you will see the sign in screen.
- Click on SSO. You may or may not be required to authenticate with Duo.
- The first time you log in using the Desktop application, you will be prompted to enter the SSO URL. You will only need to do this once. Enter https://tennessee.zoom.us and click continue.
- After entering the SSO URL and clicking continue, you are logged in. Once you have logged in, you will now see the main dialog box.
- You can now start a New Meeting, Schedule, or Join a meeting.
To view or make any changes to any of the meetings you have created, go to tennessee.zoom.us. Hover near the meeting and click Edit. Make any necessary changes, then click Save.
