Summary
A shared mailbox allows multiple people to read and send email from a common UTHSC address. Messages sent from the shared mailbox appear to come from the shared address rather than an individual user.
Prerequisites
- You must be granted access to the shared mailbox by ITS or your department.
- You must know which version of Outlook you are using. Microsoft provides a guide.

Troubleshooting
- If you cannot see the shared mailbox, confirm with your supervisor or ITS that your access has been granted.
- If the mailbox previously appeared but is now missing, restart Outlook or remove and re-add your UTHSC account.
- If you receive permission errors, wait 15 minutes and try again to allow access to propagate.
- Outlook for Mac may require manual setup under Tools > Accounts > Delegation & Sharing.
