Windows 10 End of Support

Windows 10 officially reached end of life (EOL) and is unsuppofted as of October 14, 2025.  Due to supply chain issues affecting replacement device purchasing, UTHSC ITS granted a six-month extension to March 13, 2026 for Windows 10 devices to remain on the network. After this date, devices running Windows 10 are longer be allowed access to the UTHSC network and other resources.  All Windows 10 devices should be sent Surplus via a Surplus Computing Equipment request.

ITS has pushed daily pop-up messaging to all available UTHSC devices running Windows 10 with the following info:

ITS can recommend of a replacement devices, help initiate the surplus process, and provide computer inventory reports identifying obsolete computers associated with a given DASH account. To request any of these services, please submit a service request in TechConnect or reach out to the Service Desk at 901.448.2222.

If you believe that you have a reason to seek exemption to the ITS Security policy requiring all UTHSC computing devices to run a supported operating system, please submit an exemption request.
