Instructions
Reschedule a Meeting in Outlook (Windows, Mac, or Web)
- Open your Outlook calendar.
- Open the meeting you want to reschedule.
- Windows: Double‑click the meeting.
- Mac: Select the meeting, then choose Edit.
- Web: Select the meeting, then choose Edit.
- Update the meeting details, such as date, time, or location.
- Optional: Add a note in the message body explaining the change.
- Select Send Update (Windows), Send (Mac), or Send (Web).
- Outlook will update the meeting on your calendar and send an updated invitation to all attendees.
Troubleshooting
- If you do not see the option to edit the meeting, verify that you are the meeting organizer.
- If attendees report not receiving the update, ask them to check their spam or junk folder.
- Ensure your Outlook app is up to date if buttons or options appear missing.
Additional Notes
- Rescheduling a recurring meeting updates only the selected occurrence unless you choose to update the entire series.
- Attendees must accept the updated meeting for the new time to appear on their calendars.
